Chef Didem's passion for food started in her traditional Turkish home where cooking symbolized love and unity. Guided by her mother, grandmother, and aunts, she learned the art of cooking fresh ingredients from the garden. Her culinary journey took her to the United States where she impressed acclaimed Chef Ana Sortun of Oleana with her dedication and culinary acumen. After gaining years of on-the-job experience, she furthered her skills by earned her Culinary degree from Cambridge Culinary; then served as the Chef to the Turkish Consulate of Boston; and later returned to collaborate with Chef Sortun at Sofra Bakery and Cafe as her Chef de Cuisine. In 2020, Chef Didem launched Tasteful Sini, a bespoke private chef service in Greater Boston dedicated to crafting unforgettable culinary experiences for everyday meals and special occasions.
